What did you do prior to reining: Quarter Horse Shows – Youth Events
What made you change to reining: The fast pace and the sliding stops & THE PEOPLE
Favourite horse that you have competed: Lethal Lena (the most dynamic) / Freckles Gay Doc (the most fun) / Dun Lost My Freckles (In the US - the most tricky but rewarding)
Your favourite / best competition experience: A few: Winning the open class at 2000 National show on Lethal Lena with a 76 / Making the NRBC finals in the US – very prestigious and fun show / placing in the top 10 at the Paint World Show in reining & cowhorse.
What do you enjoy most about reining / what's in the future for you in reining i.e. horses / competition coming up: The thing I enjoy the most is teaching Non Pros and training young horses / This year I will be showing Heavy Duty Dually in Open classes and at the Continental Affiliate Championships and Ruf Major in the VRHA Derby. Unfortunately due to family and work commitments I am not finding as much time to devote to the sport.
